UNAG continues working in migration field

The United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) is the partner organization of the International Organization of Migration (IOM) in the implementation of NGO Migration Sector Development Program (NGO MSDP) since December 1999.



Anti-Trafficking Multi-Media Awareness Campaign "Be Smart! Be Safe!"

WomenAid-Georgia currently is implementing the Anti-Trafficking Multi-Media Awareness Campaign "Be Smart! Be Safe!" which has gathered together key players and stakeholders from Governmental Structures and NGOs in a Anti-Trafficking Network Platform.



Survey and Analysis of the information on TB disease among IDP population in Tbilisi and Kakheti region

According to WHO's (World Health Organization) data 1% of Earth population suffer from TB. Noteworthy, young people dies from TB more frequently, than from any other diseases. 2000 is proclaimed the year of combating TB.


Trafficking in Women: Georgian Case

In the charge of the project focus groups were used to obtain information on the awareness of the community regarding the women's trafficking in Georgia, attitude towards the named issue, importance of this issue, preventive measures and the provision of assistance to victims. Another objective was to create the relevant database.


Problems of Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Georgia

It should be noted, that the number of the population migrated from Georgia in 90s according to different sources is different. According to official statistics number of the population migrated from Georgia comprises 300 000, that according to experts' opinion does not reflect the real scale of migration flow from Georgia.
